DS9: The Maquis: Part 2

Gul Dukat: In Cardassia, the verdict is always known before the trial begins; and it’s always the same.
Sisko: In that case, why bother with a trial at all?
Gul Dukat: Because the people demand it. They enjoy watching justice triumph over evil, every time. They find it comforting.
Sisko: Isn’t there ever a chance you might try an innocent man by mistake?
Gul Dukat: Cardassians don’t make mistakes.
Sisko: I’ll have to remember that.

——————————

Gul Dukat: Why? Because Vulcans don’t lie?
Sisko: As a rule, they don’t.
Gul Dukat: They don’t blow up ships either, as a rule.

(I do not know why but I like Gul Dukat :P)

Gul Dukat is a fucking awesomevillain. The man is ruthless and conniving and hypocritical and just maniacal at times. And then in the final season he has cosmetic surgery to become one of the very people he so ruthlessly oppressed his whole career. He wins all of the awards for fucked-up-edness.

How silly and dangerous.

He was on his way to Marc Alaimo’s house with a bottle of Maker’s Mark and phaser rifle.

When pulled over by police he attempted to activate his car’s cloaking device. The arresting officer described his behaviour as ‘defiant’ and told him his driver’s license was a faaaake.

And the most damning thing of all is, I think he can live with it.

He can live with it.

*SLAMS FOOT ON ACCELERATOR*

Michael Dorm was reportedly in the passenger seat and when asked what he thought he stated ‘Today is a good day to DUI’.

A pedestrian he hit was reported as saying that Picard never hit him.

He had to keep his eye on the ball…sorry, best Sisko quote I could come up with. ;)
